Let me welcome you to the Spring 2017 edition of CareerFocus, where you will be able to access information about the many opportunities available for anyone wishing to start or restart their career path. Our values stem from the desire for affordable, quality education in a stimulating learning environment through integrity, innovation, cohesive relationships and encouragement.

Great things are happening at NCTC in the area of career and technical education training. Not only does NCTC have two new, state-of-the-art facilities in Health Science and Industrial Technology, but we continue to create and grow programs in high-demand areas such as Cybersecurity, Networking, and Gaming.

Our programs at NCTC are designed to prepare you for the high-demand, high-skill careers of today’s changing workplace. It is predicted that by 2018, 57% of jobs requiring a post-secondary education will be filled by those with an associate’s degree or an occupational certificate. Some of these jobs pay more than many of the jobs held by those with bachelor’s degrees. In addition, we offer our students Education and Employment Coaching giving each of you individualized service in identifying and realizing your career potential.

Whether you are interested in a high-tech job like computer networking, a career in the agriculture industry or one of many other career fields, NCTC has one-year certificate and two-year degree programs that can enable you to walk out of the classroom and into the workforce! Not only are NCTC students provided hands-on training from instructors who are professionals in their field, our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs also build communication and critical thinking skills, both highly valued by employers. On top of all that, NCTC has an impressive slate of university partnerships which give our students the ability to build upon their success here to complete their bachelor’s without losing a single college credit hour in the transition (see more about those partnerships below).

I trust the information in this publication will be helpful and as always, please feel free to contact NCTC if we can assist in any way.

Empower Your Dreams, Empower Your Passion, Empower Your Future!
